The board’s duties are many. It is primarily responsible for the nation’s business and manages the nation’s assets, funds, properties, cultural heritage and solve estates.
It ensures that decisions the Landscape has decided is completed, establishes the annual report about the nation etc. The board shall also establish work plans for the nation’s officials and assist in the publication of the nation’s publications.
The board consists of the Chairman, first curator, second curator, two treasurers, eight members and four deputies. Four of the members shall be students at Uppsala University or another university during the semester when they are selected. Two deputies are elected with the same requirements.
Four members shall, through studies or life and professional life experiences, have acquired knowledge that make them suited to the task. Two deputies elected with the same requirements. At least one member must have knowledge in economics and at least one member must have knowledge in law.
A secretary is also appointed by the board. This person has the right to participate in the board’s deliberations but not to vote. Others who may participate in the board’s deliberations but without voting rights are inspectors, proinspector third curator, the previous first and second curators and deputies when they do not replace a regular board member.
